What are the opening times?

  • Gates open at 16:30 and attractions open at 17:00.
  • We recommend that you arrive at the start of the evening to have enough time to watch our live shows, grab some food & drinks plus enter each scare attraction. All four of our popular attractions may have longer queues at peak times.
  • Please note that the event will close at either 22:30 or 23:00 depending on the date you select, and queue lines may close an hour prior.

How do I get there by plane?

  • Halloween Haunt Fest is less than 6 miles from London Luton Airport! 

How do I get there by train?

  • Halloween Haunt Fest is less than 4 miles from Harpenden train station, which services London’s St Pancras (28 minutes), Luton (8 minutes), St Albans (6 minutes) and Bedford (33 minutes). 
  • Local taxi services operate from these train stations. 

How do I get there by automobile?

    • Halloween Haunt Fest is ideally situated near the M1 and M25. 
    • Use Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps to navigate to:
      Hertfordshire County Showground, Dunstable Rd, St Albans, AL3 7PT. 
    • Follow local signage to direct you to our event parking or taxi rank. 

Is there parking?

    • We have a large car park which is free of charge. Please follow our parking steward’s directions towards a space. 
    • Cars are parked at guests’ own risk. 
    • Please note that overnight parking is not permitted. 

Do I have to book?

  • For the best priced tickets, we highly recommend that you book in advance on our website. Tickets will be available at the gate, but you should expect a longer entry time. 

How do I book tickets?

    • Tickets can be bought online from this website! Tickets often sell out so don’t leave it to the last minute! If you turn up on the night without a pre-booked ticket you may be able to purchase a ticket on entry but please check availability in advance. Book Now

Do I need to print my ticket?

  • No, a digital copy on your phone is sufficient. 

What's included in my ticket?

  • All ticket types include unlimited access to all attractions. 
  • Food, drinks and fairground rides are not included in ticket prices. 

How much does it cost?

  • Ticket prices vary depending on the ticket type, the night you visit and how far in advance you book. All tickets and pricing can be found on tickets.halloweenhauntfest.co.uk/tickets 

Can I change the date and/or time of my booking?

  • To change your tickets simply email [email protected]
  • . Please note there is a small admin fee of £2.50.

Are there any age restrictions?

  • Halloween Haunt Fest is a recommended 16+ event. Due to the nature of the event and level of scare, the event is not recommended to anyone under the age of 16. 
  • If you are under the age of 16, you must be accompanied by a full-paying adult (18+) throughout the evening, including in attractions. 
  • 16-21 year olds must be able to prove their age with a photo ID to enter, unless accompanied by an adult (18+). Proof of ID must be photographic (Passport or Driving License) and photocopies are permitted. 

How scary is Halloween Haunt Fest?

  • What scares one person may make another laugh. Whilst our attractions and actors do their best to terrify you, we understand that being scared is completely subjective. Our aim is to make Halloween Haunt Fest a great experience whatever your emotion. 
  • Throughout the whole event you will encounter live actors, special effects, enclosed spaces and sudden noises. We advise that once you have entered an attraction there can be no turning back – you must keep moving forward and follow the designated route to the exit. 

Do you accept cash?

  • Card payments are preferred, but some vendors, funfair rides, and merchandise shops may accept cash payments. 

Is filming allowed?

  • Professional filming/photography equipment, including drones, is not permitted unless pre-approved in writing by Nick Doherty Productions LTD.  
  • Filming and photography inside attractions is strictly prohibited. However, personal filming equipment may be used outside of attractions. 

Can I bring my pet?

  • Due to the nature of the event only certified trained guide dogs are permitted on site. We strongly advise against any animals entering the attractions. 

Can I wear fancy dress?

  • Yes! We love our guests to get into the Halloween spirit and you are encouraged to wear costumes. 
  • For the safety of all guests, full face masks, full-face paint, imitation weapons and large props are prohibited items.
  • Any costumes deemed to be inappropriate could result in refused entry or result in guests being asked to leave with our refund. We encourage fun not offence.

What food and drinks are available?

  • We provide a diverse selection of food and drinks through our street food vendors and bars. Our offerings include vegan and vegetarian options to cater to various dietary needs, ensuring there’s something for everyone. 
  • Please contact us for more information on allergens and specific requirements. 

What if I need medical assistance while at the event?

  • A medical team is on site for the duration of the event should you feel unwell or need medical assistance. Ask any member of the team for details or see our on-site signage. 

What security measures do you have in place?

  • Guest safety is our top priority. When attending Halloween Haunt Fest, please allow extra time for security checks upon arrival. 
  • Our security team is there for your safety, and we kindly ask for your full cooperation during checks and searches. All guests and bags will be searched at entry, with additional random checks conducted throughout the event. 
  • To speed up entry, we recommend avoiding bringing a bag. If you do, please ensure it contains no prohibited items (refer to our terms and conditions of entry). 

Which items are prohibited to bring?

  • The following items may not be brought into the event: 
  • Alcohol 
  • Unsealed liquids (empty bottles, water and soft drinks up to 500ml are permitted) 
  • Food (Please alert us in advance if you must bring your own food for medical reasons/specific dietary requirements) 
  • All gas canisters of any size, including nitrous oxide 
  • Any items which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon 
  • Excessive amounts of cigarettes 
  • Fireworks 
  • Flares 
  • Drones 
  • Glass 
  • Illegal substances 
  • Legal highs 
  • Full face masks 
  • Full face of face paint 
  • Megaphones 
  • Portable laser equipment and pens 
  • Balloons or kites. 
  • Unauthorised professional film, video or photography equipment 

ALL ITEMS WILL BE CONFISCATED AND MAY NOT BE RETURNED. 

What is the eviction policy?

  • Halloween Haunt Fest is produced for the enjoyment of all those persons who attend. The eviction policy is detailed here. 

What is the smoking policy?

  • Smoking (including vapes and e-cigarettes) is only permitted in designated smoking areas. 
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside attractions, queue lines, and all non-smoking areas and is against our terms and conditions of entry. 

What should I expect in an attraction?

  • Attractions at Halloween Haunt Fest are an immersive experience featuring state of the art special effects, smoke, strobe lighting, darkness, loud bangs, live actors, enclosed spaces, changes in floor height, tight twisting corridors and low ceilings.

Can I visit if I’m pregnant?

  • Unfortunately, due to the nature of the event, tight spaces and uneven flooring, we strongly advise against Halloween Haunt Fest for those that are pregnant.

What happens if the weather is bad?

  • Halloween Haunt Fest takes place outdoors, with both indoor and outdoor attractions. Rain or mild adverse weather will not impact the event, so please dress appropriately for the weather. 
  • In the unlikely event of extreme weather (e.g. high winds or lightning), some attractions may temporarily close for safety. 
  • If closures occur, ticket holders will be offered an alternative date to return. 

What should I wear?

  • We are in the UK, so there may be mud! Bring suitable footwear and a coat.
  • It can get chilly in October evenings so wrap up warm.
